What is Hoop Dance?
Hoop dance is an expressive form of dance using an adult size hoop. It is a powerful way to get in touch with your own beat, your playful spirit and your core. Hoop dance is a mood altering, body shaping, action packed way to move and groove.
I cannot hoop can I still come to a class?
Of course! Many people tell me that they cannot hoop but once I pass on a few little tips they are spinning all around the room/park with a huge smile on their face. The beginner classes are an ideal way to gain hooping confidence as well as explore your body and it's capabilities. It will surprise you!

I have tried to hoop with kids hoops and I am not good at it, what am I doing wrong?
When you were a child your body was smaller and so were your hoops, now that you are all grown up you need a bigger, grown up size hoop. In the HOOPLOVERS classes we use hoops with a diameter of 95 - 105 cm. You will feel the difference straight away.
I have a hoop at home should I bring it along to class?
HOOPLOVERS classes provide you with hoops to use during class. They are adult sized hoops and make Hoop Dance and other circus style tricks much easier to tackle.

What should I wear to class?
Get ready to sweat and burn off those calories! You will need to wear something that is comfortable but will not get caught up in the hoop. Body hugging cotton is great! Something sleeveless is ideal for shoulder hooping.
What can I expect from a HOOPLOVERS Hoop Dance class?
You can expect to have intense amounts of fun, work muscles you may not have worked in a long time and have a fabulous laugh! Of course you are going to get back what you give, so coming to class with a positive approach and an open attitude is going to allow your body to do wondrous things.During class we will explore body awareness, spend some time conditioning your body through a hoop style work out, work on hoop tricks, moves and combinations that will have you tearing up the dance floor, living room space or park in true hoop star style!

How much do you charge for a show?
HOOPLOVERS will work with you to create a package that gives you maximum energy and entertainment for your budget. Contact us with an idea, concept, inquiry and we will craft a package that suits all of your elements.
I love your shows but I really want my guests to get involved is that possible?
YES! We offer fabulously fun interactive shows. Kick off the night with a dazzling show off by the HOOPLOVERS and then get hoops and heads spinning as the crowd become the hoop stars. An interactive show could involve a focused mini lesson, a comedic crowd pull out of a freestyle hoop disco. Let us tailor something that suits your space and vision.
Where have you performed before?
There have been so many memorable shows but we will list off a few so that you get an idea of the scope of our performances; On a Rubik's Cube podium opening and closing for Duran Duran at Ageha Tokyo, on a makeshift stage on the beach in front of The Sanctuary in Koh Phangan Thailand, in school gyms for NPOs supporting orphaned children, on the main stage in the Horden Pavillion for the Sydney Mardi Gras, in the colorful gyms of preschools, on stages in the restaurants of military bases, on tiny dance floors in Tokyo clubs, in beautiful backyards for children's parties, under circus tents for family days, on catwalks for fashion events, under bright lights for TV cameras, on tabletops under chandeliers for corporate parties, on rooftops, in car parks, in libraries, hotel lobbies and classrooms...just to name a few. How old are the children that come to your classes?
Currently children from the ages of 4 to 12 are attending the Kids Hoopla classes. These classes are designed for kids of all ages and abilities. They are an action packed combo of trick learning through games and play and expression through movement and dance.

How do I chose the right size hoop?
The bigger the hoop the easier it is, but the slower it goes so we suggest measuring from the ground up to about your belly button to pick the right diameter of the hoop for you. If you prefer a slow style, you are tall or large we suggest a large size hoop. Beginners will definitely want to start out with the 21.5mm fitness size pipe as it is much easier to spin and as they advance may opt for lighter, thinner pipe.
Kid's - 75cm diameter for children under 8 years of age
Small - 85cm diameter Ideal for children up to 8 years of age
Medium - 95cm diameter Ideal for 8 yrs and older
Large - 105cm diameter Ideal for those taller than 175cm

Can I come to your office to try hoops before purchasing?
Of course you can. Please contacts us in regards to schedule of visiting our office. You must have a reservation in order to do so.
How long will it take to receive my hoop from your shop?
Please allow us about 2-5 days to ship. If you want to have it delivered sooner, please email me.
How much does one hoop cost?
HOOPLOVERS hoop is from AUD35 per hoop.
How do you ship and how much for shipping?
We usually use the post office service. The shipping costs AUD$5 or you can pick up for free!
I am not comfortable with purchasing on a shopping cart. Is there a way I can still purchase your hoop(s)/class ticket(s)?
Please contact us. We can arrange for another way for you.
What kind of payment method does your shopping card accept?
It accepts Paypal and bank transfer.
Can I have my order insured?

Teacher Training
Who might benefit from becoming a HOOPLOVERS' Instructor?
Hoop dancers wanting to deepen their practice and understanding of fundamentals, dancers, classroom teachers, personal trainers, group fitness trainers, yoga instructors, healers, expressive artists, any one looking for an exciting career change.
What if I am not a hoop dancer?
It is recommended that you have some basic hoop dance skills and a real passion for fun, movement and sharing enthusiastically. Grab yourself an adult size hoop dance hoop, some hoop dance DVDs or online tutorials and get hooping!
What should I bring to a HOOPLOVERS Instructor training session?
Wear comfortable clothing, bring a refillable water bottle, a pen and note book as well as a positive attitude, your personal style and a passion to follow a rewarding path.
I don't live close to any other scheduled HOOPLOVERS Instructor training sessions but I would really like to participate, are you planning to travel?
You have two options. You can complete the self paced, HOOPLOVERS Distance InstructorTraining or you can help to organize a HOOPLOVERS Teacher Training program in your area. We are always excited to share the hoop love in new areas, please get in contact if you think you might like to collaborate on a project in your area.
I’m interested in hooping, but I’m not sure I’m ready to be an instructor. What should I do?
If you have experienced the benefits of hoop dance and you have a desire to share them with others then HOOPLOVERS Instructor training will support you to do so. You do not need to be a professional hoop dancer to share the benefits of hoop dance. The Instructor training will also inspire you to create various ways to share hoop dance and explore your own learning of the art. If you have a passion to share and a desire to follow an adventure filled with hoops, people, joy and laughter then we recommend the HOOPLOVERS Instructor training to support you on your journey.
What will I be able to do after I complete HOOPLOVERS Instructor Training?
You will have acquired the skills to create and share hoop dance classes, workshops, events and activities. Depending on the modules that you complete you will also be readied with the skills and knowledge to teach beginner, intermediate and advanced hoopers.
You will be prepared with the skills to market yourself, your classes and events.
You will be able to kick start your career or part time path as a hoop dance instructor.
Is it really possible to make a living as a HOOPLOVERS Instructor?
Yes! Deanne supports an active lifestyle in Australia, in addition to world travel, by teaching HOOPLOVERS Beginners & Beyond classes, Hoop Love Classes, Hoop Love Fitness Classes, Kid's Hoop Classes and Hoop Dance performances.
How is the HOOPLOVERS Instructor training unique from other programs available?
HOOPLOVERS invites you to be part of the team. HOOPLOVERS Instructor Training offers a wide range of support using diverse media that you will treasure as helpful resources.
Training sessions are small and intimate so that individual attention is assured.
